Copyright 1947 with enlarged and revised edition copyright 1948; this copy is from the thirteenth printing dated August 1960 as noted on the copyright page. The book features an early portrait of the author in chef’s whites opposite the title page and contains a comprehensive collection of classic mid-century recipes across appetizers, mains, desserts, and more.

Condition:
Hardcover in fair to good vintage condition with notable wear to the dust jacket including a torn and creased area at the top of the spine, edge and corner wear, and some soiling and discoloration consistent with age and kitchen use. Boards and spine remain solid with legible gilt title on the front cover; pages show age toning and handling but are generally clean.
