Vintage 1940s Rio Hondo Pottery Horse Figurines Set of 2

Rio Hondo Pottery was established in California during the mid-20th century and was known for its high-quality, hand-painted ceramic figurines. These pieces are popular among collectors for their charming designs and craftsmanship. The larger horse is white with brown accents on the mane and tail, and green on the hooves, bridal, and saddle. The smaller one is more simple with brown on the mane and tail and green on the hooves. Rio Hondo pieces were often characterized by its hand-painted details, including eyelashes and a sassy saddle. The larger one is in good shape with a little crazing in the glaze, smaller one has a chipped ear and some crazing also. The larger figurine is 4"L x 4 5/8"H x 1 5/8"W. The smaller one is 2 3/4"L x 2 1/4"T x 3/4"W.
